MacCussion on Australia’s Got Talent

This is a moment I’ve been waiting for a long time. Macgregor Percussion Ensemble’s performance on the popular TV show Australia’s Got Talent.

A few months ago, we got the exciting news we were going to audition for the show. After that came early mornings and long hours of practicing our piece, called Stinking Garbage, over and over and over and over again. My legs hurt from crouching and popping up so many times.

Then came the shooting day, which started early in the morning and ended in the evening. Our families came to see us and were very proud and we ROCKED!

This is our segment on last night’s show (they call us MacCussion). I got to speak. A lot. Enjoy!

Message to maccusion drummers:There’s also another brilliant drummer group who have twice appeared in the annual Edinborough Tattoo that I know of . They’re the ‘Swiss Drummers.’
Made up of all manner of men in Switzerland. bankers, plumbers, stock brokers , window cleaners, etc.
Try to find them on ‘Edinborough tattoo’ or maybe a Swiss website.
You are excellent but you can learn a couple of tricks from them too.During their speed drumming , they throw the drum sticks to each other and play on each others drums, etc.
We love to watch you play, as we do them.
    Good Luck,
    John …….English, in Perth
