So Tsoof and Sarah are back again, and this time we’ve got some new stuff to share.
Towards the end of last year, on Saturday the 3rd of November, we were invited to perform an hour set at an event called ‘Relay for Life’ which is organised by the cancer council in Queensland. Relay For Life is an overnight event that is an opportunity for friends and family to get together with the community and celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and fight back against a disease that takes too much.
The idea of the event is to create teams of 10 or more people and over the course of a few days, to have a person from the team on the track at all times. They can walk, they don’t have to run (which is what it thought would be the case), and they can camp overnight to be there while the relay goes on.
When Sarah and I arrived to perform that night, they had already been relaying since the day before and would continue on through the next day!!!
There was a great turn out and I was definitely very excited to be there with Sarah. We had a great crowd of ‘runners’ and non-‘runners’ and they were all very glad to have had us there singing and cheering them on for the cause. Of course our families and friends came as well and supported us like always! 🙂
There are quite a few video’s to share and we want to make sure you see them all. I’m really proud of us 🙂 ha ha
Enjoy!
