Description
Players: 4
Instrumentation: 4 floor toms – Requires special set up for Paint Drumming effect.
Named after the volcano ‘Mount Etna’ (in the spirit of Volcano Rising), Etna is a paint drumming quartet with a flair for choreography that is the third video in the synesthetic series of videos.
The composition works with and without the visual effect and focuses on groovy polyrhythms and moving lines across the parts. It is a challenging piece for every level of ensemble and has a simplified arrangement for ensembles that are looking for a smaller challenge.
The piece also includes production instructions and gear requirements. For ensembles in Brisbane, QLD Australia, gear is available for hire (pumps, lights, buckets, extension cords). You can get in contact for more information about this on the Contact Page.
