I'm a big fan of groovy music, especially drumming stuff. Blade by Benjamin Finley was a piece I chose to play for my recital this semester and I enjoyed every second.
The piece revolves around a polyrythm of 3 on 4 (and vice versa) and basically requires the performer to separate both hands making each work independently. It's described as a piece for a broken

All the snippets have been shared, the video is edited, all that's left is for you to enjoy :) I would like to present to you 'Volcano Rising', the three-month production involving 25 crew members, 20 pizzas, 10 litres of soft drink, 3 bags of cookies, a whole lot of water, lights, cameras, action, recording equipment, drums and true joy for the production of originality and support of talent.

So, the next song in the Mayfest set is a bit of an 'oldie'. Sarah and I picked it to get the audience dancing and liven the mood a bit. It did just that and even got the compere's for the day dancing.

Here is yet another video of my friend Sarah and me performing earlier on in the day during our afternoon set. The crowd was amazing and we had a great time. We chose to sing this song because we thought that everyone would really enjoy it after all the hype of Gotye's success. Turns out we picked correctly!

A few months ago (better late than never), I was invited by the organizers of Amnesty International's White Ribbon Day in Brisbane to perform 5 songs related to violence against women. Sarah La Sala joined me and proved to be an amazing singing partner.

Mayfest came around again this year and the organizers of the outdoor stage invited Sarah and I to come and perform a few sets during the day. If you don't already know, Mayfest is MacGregor Primary School's yearly Fete and has been an opportunity for me to perform and get my music out there every year for the past few years.

Earlier this year, a few of my percussionist friends from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and I had an idea to form a percussion ensemble. Thanks to our university, our families and some friendly contacts, we got a few of our first gigs, from which we got some great recordings and some great videos.
